PROLER extends deadline for submission of proposals for 30MW Solar Station in Dondo until 20th July
The Energy Regulatory Authority (ARENE) has announced an extension of the deadline for the submission of proposals under the tender for the selection of an Independent Power Producer (IPP) responsible for the development of a future 30MW solar photovoltaic power station in the district of Dondo, Sofala Province, under the Renewable Energy Auctions Promotion Programme (PROLER). The new deadline for proposal submission is 20th July 2026.
Relaunched in April by the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy (MIREME) and ARENE, the tender aims to select the developer responsible for the financing, construction, operation and maintenance of the Dondo solar photovoltaic power station.
The project is part of PROLER, an initiative promoted by the Government of Mozambique to strengthen electricity generation capacity, diversify the energy mix and mobilise private investment through competitive and transparent procurement processes. The programme receives financial support from the European Union, through the Agence Française de Développement (AFD), and foresees the development of approximately 120 MW of renewable energy capacity through solar and wind projects.
