RENMOZ in Europe brings together investors in Brussels to foster partnerships and boost Mozambique’s energy sector
RENMOZ will be held in Europe for the first time on 17th and 18th March in Brussels, marking a decisive moment in the internationalization of Mozambique’s leading business forum dedicated to renewable energy. The event aims to bring European companies, investors, and financial institutions closer to a set of concrete business opportunities in Mozambique’s energy sector, which is currently experiencing strong growth.
Organized by the Mozambican Renewable Energy Association (AMER) and ALER, in partnership with GET.invest, and supported by the Mozambican public authorities as well as the European Union, Germany, Sweden, and Belgium, the event is aligned with the Team Europe approach under the EU Global Gateway framework.
This edition serves as a strategic pre-event marking the official launch of the Road to RENMOZ 2026, a cooperation initiative culminating in the main event scheduled for 9th-12th June 2026, in Maputo. In Brussels, the focus will be on consolidating partnerships and mobilizing financing to accelerate projects with strong implementation potential in the country.
The forum’s main highlight will be the first-ever presentation of a structured pipeline of renewable energy projects in Mozambique, bringing together solar, wind, hydropower, mini-grid, and electricity transmission and distribution initiatives. Showcasing this pipeline will increase the visibility of priority projects and strengthen the conditions for their technical and financial viability before the private sector and development finance institutions.
The event format includes contextual sessions on the investment environment, B2B and B2G meetings, closed bilateral meetings, and dedicated strategic matchmaking spaces designed to facilitate consortium building, cooperation agreements, and potential financing arrangements. Around 150 representatives from public institutions, companies, international financiers, and multilateral partners are expected to attend.
RENMOZ in Europe will take place on 17th March at the BeVenue Conference Centre of the Fédération des Entreprises de Belgique and on 18th March at the premises of Enabel, both in Brussels. Participation is free of charge upon prior registration and subject to approval.
