Highlights

In this edition, Isabel Cancela de Abreu (Executive Director of ALER) highlights the main updates of the month: the tariff reduction in Cabo Verde, progress on the Biofuels Strategy in Angola, advancements in electric mobility in Mozambique and recent developments in São Tomé and Príncipe.

RENMOZ will be held in Europe for the first time on 17th and 18th March in Brussels, marking a decisive moment in the internationalization of Mozambique’s leading business forum dedicated to renewable energy. The event aims to bring European companies, investors, and financial institutions closer to a set of concrete business opportunities in Mozambique’s energy sector, which is currently experiencing strong growth.

The Mission 300 initiative, considered one of the most ambitious efforts to accelerate access to energy in Africa, takes center stage in the new edition of the Africa Market Outlook for Solar PV 2026–2029, launched this week at the Intersolar Africa Summit. The report, promoted by the Global Solar Council – of which ALER is a member – provides an in-depth analysis of solar sector trends across the continent and includes two technical contributions authored by ALER.
